SoundCloud to M4A Downloader

Most converters turn SoundCloud into MP3 by re-encoding the audio, which loses a little quality. SoundCloud also streams AAC at about 160kbps. This SoundCloud to M4A downloader saves that AAC stream directly, so you get the best sound SoundCloud sends to listeners in a small file.

AAC at 160kbps generally sounds as good as or better than a 128kbps MP3, and because we copy it instead of converting it there is no extra loss. It's the closest thing to “original quality” for public tracks.

M4A is Apple's native audio format. It plays in the Files app, Apple Music (add to library on Mac) and every iOS app — see the iPhone guide.

MP3 plays on literally everything, including old car stereos. M4A is smaller for the same quality and works on all modern phones, PCs and Android. If in doubt, use the SoundCloud to MP3 converter.

A few older tracks only have an MP3 stream. If M4A fails, switch to MP3 — it will still be the best quality the track has.
