SoundCloud Downloader Not Working? Fixes

If a SoundCloud downloader shows an error, plays the song instead of saving it, or the file seems to vanish, one of the fixes below solves it in almost every case.

Looking for single songs instead? Use our main SoundCloud to MP3 converter.

1. 1

   Check the link

It should start with soundcloud.com/ or on.soundcloud.com/.

2. 2

   Check the track

Private, removed and Go+ tracks can't be downloaded.

3. 3

   Check your downloads

Files go to Downloads (PC/Android) or Files › Downloads (iPhone).

Copy the link from Share › Copy link, not from a search result or a shortened social link. Remove extra text before or after the URL. Mobile links like on.soundcloud.com work.

The track is private, was deleted, or is blocked in your country. Only the uploader can make it public.

Some labels only allow subscribers to stream a track in full. Those tracks can't be downloaded by any honest tool. If the artist enabled SoundCloud's own Download button, use that.

Your browser opened the file. Long-press (phone) or right-click (PC) the download button and choose Download linked file / Save link as.

iPhone: Files app › Downloads (Safari's downloads arrow shows it too). Android: Files by Google › Downloads. See the iPhone and Android guides.

Big playlists are processed one track at a time in your browser; keep the tab open. If one track fails it's skipped and the rest are saved. Use the playlist downloader on desktop for 100+ tracks.

Some downloaders keep moving to new addresses. This site stays on one fixed address — compare in our Klickaud alternative and Musicverter alternative pages.
